Country music star Morgan Wallen is speaking out for the first time following his arrest after he allegedly threw a chair off a Nashville rooftop.

Wallen was arrested Sunday, April 7 and charged after police say he threw a chair from the top of Chief’s Bar, Eric Church's new venue.

An arrest warrant stated Metro Police officers were standing in front of the bar when they saw a chair drop from above, landing about three feet from where they stood. Police talked to security regarding the incident and were told Wallen was responsible for the chair being thrown.

In a post on X, Wallen stated:

"I didn't feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility. I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change. -MW"

Wallen was booked on three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct following the incident.

His bond was $15,250. He bonded out the Monday morning following the incident.

Wallen's court date is set for May 3, which is during his tour stop in Nashville. At this time, the concert is still scheduled to take place.
