Chef, Cookbook Author and Host of Amazing America's 'Let's Eat!" Monti Carlo stopped by Good Morning Washington to show us all how to make a honey pie, just in time for Easter.

The recipe was inspired by her recent 'Let's Eat!' adventure to Charleston, South Carolina.

In the 'Let's Eat!' series, with suggestions from her fellow foodie obsessives, Monti has 12 hours to visit as many restaurants as possible.

You can watch the full episodes of 'Let's Eat!' on Amazing America's Youtube page, Instagram or Facebook.

Here is Monti's Honey Pie recipe

Ingredients:

1 pie crust ( make your own or use a premade crust, like Pillsbury)

1/2 cup salted butter (1 stick)

1 cup cream cheese, room temperature

1 cup goat cheese, room temperature

1/2 cup sour cream

3/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 whole eggs

2 egg yolks

1/4 teaspoon flaky salt for garnish

Directions

Step 1

Add an oven rack to the center of your oven. Place a pizza stone or an upside-down cast iron pan large enough to hold a pie plate on top of the rack and preheat the oven to 350F. Grease a pie dish. Line the pie dish with the pie crust and crimp or flute the edges. Use a fork to perforate the crust's bottom and sides a few times. Place the crust in the freezer while you make the custard.

Step 2

Add the salted butter to a large microwave-proof bowl, cover with parchment, and microwave in 1 minute increments until it foams, sputters, then turns a light golden brown. About 4 minutes.

Step 3

In a stand mixer, mix the brown butter, cream cheese, goat cheese, sour cream, honey, brown sugar, and vanilla. Once everything is incorporated, add the cornstarch and mix thoroughly. Add the eggs one by one and mix until incorporated.

Step 4

Fill the pie crust with the honey pie batter and bake until the top is golden brown and the middle is set but jiggly. Garnish with flaky salt. Cool completely before serving.
