Sinclair is partnering with the American Cancer Society for Sinclair Cares: Help Drive Out Cancer.

Having access to transportation is the No. 1 barrier to cancer treatment; that’s why the ACS's Road to Recovery ride requests are in high demand.

Road to Recovery has provided over 9.6 million rides since 2005. In 2024 alone, they provided 71,534 rides. However, requests still outnumber the ability to fulfill them.

Road to Recovery needs more volunteer drivers to help cancer patients get the treatment they need. Volunteer expectations:

• Drivers volunteer their own vehicle, time and gas
• Drivers must go through training, including a background check and a driving record review
• Drivers must have a driver’s license.
• Drivers can choose to drive as much as they want, with no set number of rides
