'16 & Pregnant’ star Whitney Purvis wrote memorial for man whose death she’s charged with

Months before her arrest, “16 & Pregnant” star Whitney Purvis shared an emotional tribute to the man whose death she’s now being charged with.

The MTV star shared her tribute on the funeral home’s website, who was handling the arrangements for John Mark Harris' service. John Mark reportedly had a fatal overdose from drugs Whitney is being charged with providing.

“John Mark, I hate that I found out what happened today and missed your funeral. I wish I could have found out sooner and attended your celebration of life,” Whitney wrote on Henderson & Sons Funeral Home website.

The 37-year-old chef was laid to rest back in March. In her memorial post, Whitney went onto say, “We bonded over being chefs, our love of cooking and our struggles. I could tell you anything and you always knew what to say or give me your honest opinion and advice.”

“I am so very thankful for the times we had together. My brain just can’t process this happened. I don’t want it to be true. [] Most of all, I’ll miss you, a truly good hearted & one of a kind man, John Mark. I’ll never forget you. Rest in peace and condolences to your family and friends. I pray they are able to find some sort of comfort during this tragic time. I love you forever, John Mark,” she concluded her tribute.

The message was posted more than three months before she was arrested on Monday, July 7 in Floyd County, Georgia for involuntary manslaughter and distribution of a controlled substance, among other counts, according to TMZ.

All of this news comes just over a month after her teenage son, Weston died of natural causes.

Purvis and her then partner, Weston Sr., welcomed their son April 2, 2009 during the first season of “16 & Pregnant.” They also share another son, River, born in 2014, but have been broken up since then, according to PEOPLE.
