Jimmie Allen's former manager is no longer suing the country singer for sexual assault and rape, documents confirm.
FOX 17 News obtained the stipulation between Jane Doe and Jimmie Allen showing the victim has dismissed claims against Allen which were filed back in May 2023 in the Middle Tennessee District Court. The former day-to-day manager was suing Allen for rape and sexual assault.
Both Jane Doe and Allen signed the new agreement on March 14. The stipulation shows that Jane Doe is still suing Allen's former management company, Wide Open Music, and founder Ash Bowers.
Jane Doe of Williamson County previously said she felt humiliated, disoriented, confused and mortified after the alleged rape. Her attorney had said Allen took her virginity after taping American Idol in March 2021 and then pressured her to take a morning-after pill.
“The next thing she knew, she woke up in a hotel room and had clearly been sexually assaulted and had vaginal bleeding,” alleges John Spragens, the attorney for Doe.
Spragens also alleged WOM and Bowers knew about Allen's behavior.
Jane Doe is one of two woman that has accused Allen of sexual assault. The second lawsuit, also filed in the Middle District of Tennessee, states the woman, identified as Jane Doe 2, met Allen on a plane ride from Sacramento to Nashville on May 1, 2022.
Jane Doe 2 and her friends met up with the singer that night in Nashville and kept in touch months after. In July 2022, documents say Jane Doe 2 and Allen arranged to meet in Las Vegas. Jane Doe 2 said she paid for her own ticket and "requested that Allen book her a separate hotel room."
The two were at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Vegas where he invited her to his room while they waited for hers. The two allegedly kissed and Allen then asked her to stay on the balcony of the hotel room for several minutes before inviting her into the bedroom.
A sexual encounter ensued, per the suit, and Allen allegedly told her he wanted to impregnate the woman to which she responded no. Despite her appeal, the suit states Allen "ejaculated inside her." After the alleged sexual assault encounter, Jane Doe 2 found Allenhad recorded their encounter and her request which he ignored, the suit says.
In July 2023, Allen filed countersuits against both women, saying their relations were consensual. Additionally, Allen's former management WOM filed a motion in July 2023 to be dismissed from the rape and sexual assault lawsuit.
Allen faced backlash after Jane Doe's allegations came to light, including when he was dropped from the 50th annual CMA Fest in 2023.
