'90 Day Fiancé' star is home after a 'complicated surgery' caused 'excessive bleeding'
“90 Day Fiancé” star Nikki Exotika (real name Nicole Sanders) is back home after being hospitalized for “excessive bleeding” from a “very complicated surgery.”
A friend of Nikki’s, who identified themselves as Mike, kept fans updated via her Instagram stories, first sharing a photo of the reality star in a hospital bed.
“Nicole had a very complicated surgery today and had excessive bleeding. She's in recovery now but very weak, she refused a blood transfusion prior to surgery,” the caption read. “They are monitoring her overnight at the hospital. I will be taking care of her, I'll be giving more updates on her progress as time passes.”
Things seemed like they were taking a turn for the worse, with Mike updating fans that Nikki’s blood pressure kept dropping and her “excessive bleeding” was caused by taking an Advil before her surgery, which can increase the risk of bleeding during surgery.
Thankfully, Mike was able to offer a positive update this morning, sharing that Nikki was discharged and returned home. “Her vitals stayed stable since they gave her the blood pressure meds earlier.”
He continued, “She [is] still very weak and in lots of pain. She is draining a lot of blood from her drains.”
Once home, Nikki thanked fans herself in an Instagram story, saying, “Thank you all for your well wishes and messages of support and prayers. I need a couple days of rest, I’m very weak and in a lot of pain.”
Nikki said she’s still “draining a lot of blood” from her breast reconstruction surgery.
She also thanked Mike for his support for taking care of her and keeping everyone updated about her condition.
Back in August, Nikki explained she has been having an ongoing struggle with her breast implants. She said on social media she needed multiple surgeries after a “serious, serious infection in my breast due to water getting inside from my last surgery” which developed during a procedure in 2019.
