'90 Day: Hunt for Love' debuts new breakout star before explosive confrontation

Things are getting heated at the resort in this week’s “90 Day: The Hunt for Love.”

Kicking off the episode, Jennifer and Cole enjoyed a romp in her room, while Rob pines away on his champagne date with Chantel.

Rob’s date fell flat because he really kept thinking about Jennifer the whole time.

The next day while the bulk of the group is working out with equipment that looks like it was made on Gilligan’s Island, Elise mentions she was rumored to have hooked up with Rob.

Tiffany admits she heard someone in the room next to hers, thinking it was Rob’s room but it’s really Jennifer’s. The gang, including Colt, put it all together and figure out Jennifer and Rob hooked up.

That’s when Cole comes walking down the beach and they all encourage him to confront the undercover lovers.

Cole is initially dismissive, but decides to talk with Rob, who flat out lies about being with Jennifer as clips of the hook up play split screen for us.

It all comes to a head later at the social media critique group activity where they review each other’s profiles for accuracy and appeal. After Jennifer makes a comment that Rob looks good, Elise stirs the pot and asks if that’s what Rob looks like currently. After all she would know since they hooked up recently, right?

That sparks a shouting match back and forth between Elise and Jennifer, with Colt jumping in to defend Elise and demanding to know if Jennifer’s been sleeping with Rob, but Jennifer jabs back that he’s just jealous because he hasn’t had much luck at the resort. And that’s where the episode ends, with a tease for next week including someone being taken away in an ambulance.

The real highlight of the episode was the split second appearance of a surprise guest in Jennifer’s room during her hook up with Cole.

Just before the commercial break, a small animal that appears to be a raccoon came into the room and sniffed around the luggage, and staring at the couple!

But Cole and Jennifer were so focused on each other, it went completely unnoticed, and was never mentioned again.

The appearance of the little critter raises more questions: where did it come from? Are there more? And what does its social media profile look like?

We can only hope the lil guy shows up again next week, before the person they teased in the “coming up” segment gets taken away in ambulance.
