An explosive '90 Day: Happily Ever After?' features fights, secrets, and lies
Gino. Gino, Gino, Gino. Did you really think bringing your new girlfriend, who looks exactly like your estranged wife, to a family birthday party was going to go well? Ponder that while we check in with the other couples first.
KARA AND GUILLERMO
Kara’s performance is coming up but she still misses Guillermo, who she kicked out of the house after he accused her of cheating. She’s really sincerely hoping he’ll come to her performance and they can talk things out a little, but he’s a no show.
We catch up with Guillermo, who simply cannot be convinced that Kara isn’t cheating. He thinks she’s too wild with being in the music industry, between her revealing stage clothes and party opportunities. He just doesn’t trust her, and he knows it’s weird but he can’t move on from it.
He is mad she kicked him out but agrees they need the space to think everything over and both admit they’re sad the relationship isn’t what it used to be.
Kara returns home alone from a successful show, still heartbroken and disappointed.
ELIZABETH AND ANDREI
Speaking of trust, Elizabeth finally figures out the Andrei told everyone at the big party they’re definitely moving to Moldova, something she never agreed to. She explains that she does not feel listened to when she brings up her concerns about where they’ll live, where the kids will go to school, and that he just tries to steam roll her about the idea every time. Luckily, her dad is coming into town soon and she hopes to have some back up from him.
We get a brief check in with Lore and Alexei and Jovi and Yara, where Alexei drops an absolute bombshell: Andrei may have lost $75,000 in a bad construction deal that Elizabeth may or may not know about. Jovi quickly says they weren’t supposed to say anything and that they should all stay out of it, but Loren, who already is wary of Andrei, isn’t on board with that idea.
In Moldova, Elizabeth is aware of the investment, but not of the state of it. After Chuck arrives they start to look at some nice penthouse apartments and homes and she’s starting to warm up to the idea of moving there. We’ll see how long that lasts when she finds out what happened with the $75,000.
DARCEY AND GEORGI
Darcey and Georgi’s Bulgarian honeymoon is going well enough, even after they argued about him opening up to his parents and to her more. They visit a beautiful castle and catch up with one of Georgi’s friends, also named Georgi. Turns out, our Georgi has never brought a girl home to meet mom and dad, so Darcey, in all her glamorous glory, will be the first one they meet. So that’s why Georgi is so nervous about introducing her to his family, it’ll be a first for the 37-year-old!
ADNAN AND TIGERLILY
Adnan and Tigerlily visit a doula to talk about having her placenta preserved and made into pills to put in smoothies after the baby arrives. The doula offices are absolutely overwhelming for Adnan, there are images and artful statues of naked women everywhere, and Tigerlily has to ask if they can cover a small statue on a table out of respect of his culture. The doulas oblige, but point out in an interview that part of the reason the imagery is everywhere is to make birth and women’s bodies more normalized for everyone.
But what really sends Adnan reeling is seeing the actual placenta, which one of the specialists pulls out of a refrigerator as an example for what they’ll do with Tigerlily’s. He backs away from it like it’s radioactive and Tigerlily is annoyed at his squeamishness. Probably because it’s a bad sign for how he’ll handle changing a diaper. . But for what it’s worth he says she can do whatever she wants with her placenta, but if he had one, he would not do the pill thing.
GINO AND JASMINE AND NATALIE
On to the main event: two women somehow fighting over Gino. Things start well enough, with Natalie visiting him in Michigan. He brings her flowers to her hotel room (though not red roses as that’s too strong a love indicator) and hangs out in her hotel hot tub. But he’s still thinking about Jasmine, more so now that it finally dawned on him the two women could be twins.
Natalie is no fool and wants to know if he still has feelings for his ex and when he half heartedly admits he feels at least guilty about the relationship, she accepts the answer but says she won’t wait forever.
The next day they’re enjoying Gino’s hometown and he mentions that Jasmine will be coming to his cousin’s birthday party, which Natalie is also attending. Natalie is irritated, but asks, hey, how bad could it be?
Bad, Natalie. Real bad.
At the party, Gino’s cousin-in-law Michelle grills them about their relationship and if Natalie knows that even though Gino already told Jasmine he wanted a divorce, they met for dinner last week. Michelle swears she doesn’t want to cause trouble, but her husband Dana’s face in their interview says otherwise.
Natalie herself tries to get a few answers herself, but that’s when Hurricane Jasmine arrives, with Matt in tow. She immediately starts calling Natalie names and starts a physical fight with her, and people have to drag them apart as Natalie heads outside and Jasmine hangs out in the bar, where they all seem to be Team Jasmine.
Jasmine says she sees Natalie as a mistress and not part of the open marriage agreement, and had no idea how angry she would get seeing her with Gino.
Outside, Natalie is fuming and someone actually has to tell Gino to go outside to talk with her. He as the gall to ask, “Are you ok?” And Natalie of course screams no she most certainly is not. She tears into Gino, saying she’s supported him but she’s also been clear about everything, while he’s waffled around. Natalie, after she screams about Jasmine, does put the blame on Gino, saying she wanted no part of this.
We’ll see if they go in for round two next week.
