Ariana Grande mourns loss of grandmother, Marjorie 'Nonna' Grande, at age 99

Famous pop star and former Boca Raton native, Ariana Grande, announced on Tuesday that her grandmother, Marjorie Granda, aka Nonna, has died at 99, according to reports. BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — Famous pop star and Boca Raton native Ariana Grande announced on Tuesday that her grandmother, Marjorie Grande, aka Nonna, has died at 99, according to reports.
Grande, famous for songs like "Yes And" and "The Boy is Mine", shared the news on her Instagram stories in a family statement that read, "We are devastated to share that the beloved matriarch of our family has passed away."
"Marjorie (Nonna) Grande passed away peacefully in her home and was surrounded by her family and loves ones for every moment of her last few weeks," the statement continued. "We thank you for your love, support and for respecting our privacy as we grieve and celebrate her beautiful, extraordinary life."

Grande also took to Instagram where she made a post of her Nonna on her wedding day. the caption reads, "forever."
Other members of the Grande family posted about the loss of the family of matriarch, including the pop star's mother Joan Grande.
Grande, who recently starred in film adaptation of Wicked as Glinda, visited her hometown of Boca Raton to see the movie with her grandmother.
