Astronomer CPO Kristin Cabot resigns after Coldplay concert scandal
The fallout from the Coldplay concert kiss cam continues as the woman in the video, Kristin Cabot, has resigned from her position as Astronomer’s CPO.
“Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer. She has resigned,” as spokesperson for Astronomer told Us Weekly.
Cabot and Astronomer CEO Andy Byron were caught on camera last week during Coldplay’s concert in Massachusetts.
Lead singer Chris Martin playfully called them out on camera after they tried to hide, saying, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.”
The footage went viral and the internet concluded that Byron and Cabot were not a married couple but worked together at tech company Astronomer.

Byron was the CEO and Cabot was the CPO, or Chief People Officer and the public attention prompted an investigation from the company.
"Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leader are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability. The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly,” the company stated on X last Friday.
A day later, Byron had officially resigned.
“As we have stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met,” Astronomer wrote on X.
The statement continued, “Andy Byron has tenured his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO.”
There was speculation that another employee, Alyssa Stoddard, was also at the concert with the couple, but Astronomer confirmed no one else employed by Astronomer was in the video.
