SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Much like Halloween, I celebrate Batman Day every day. DC Comics, however, prefer to designate the third Saturday in September as the official Caped Crusader’s Day. Like Christmas, that means new and exclusive merchandise, comics, movie marathons, and a bunch of regular looking guys running around in their makeshift cowl and tights. I poke fun because I love fandom. I’m also someone who replaced their car’s hood badge with a Batman logo who parks in an often-overlooked underground parking structure. If there weren’t so many cameras and a wandering guard (I appreciate the security) I probably would have spraypainted a Batman logo on the entrance and/or my parking spot. Maybe a “Reserved for Batman” sign would be allowed?
It is at this point where I leave you with the bits and pieces of the official Batman Day press release. However, please note tthe official guide was lacking photos of the Spin Master toys, forgot a really cool statue, and skipped over the selection of hoodies at the DC Shop altogether. I’ve gone ahead and rectified that.
So, let's start off with the collectables, games, and comics before moving on to the marathons and events. Descriptions come from DC and Spin Master. I did insert a few links (where available) for your convenience. Enjoy!
