Betty White gives fans an early Christmas gift with announcement of new Lifetime movie

WASHINGTON (SBG) – You won't have to wait a lifetime to see a Betty White Christmas movie.

Lifetime announced that everyone's favorite actress will star in a Christmas movie this year at the age of 98, according to a news release.

White is the main character in a currently untitled holiday film where she "helps whip would-be Santa’s into shape, spreading the true meaning of Christmas and leading everyone to wonder: is she secretly be Mrs. Claus?", Lifetime says.

Also in the works for the channel is a third installment for the "Harry and Meghan"franchise.The new movie will detail the hardships the new parents face along with challenges of being part of the royal family, according to Lifetime.

No word yet on when either of these films will be released.
