Beyoncé urges Texans to vote, shows support for Joe Biden in Instagram post

(KEYE) – Musical superstar Beyoncé, a Texas native, is urging her home state to "come thru" while showing support for the Democratic ticket of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

In a video posted to Instagram, Beyoncé writes "Come thru, Texas! #VOTE" while tipping her hat to reveal an "I Voted" sticker.

She's also wearing a Biden-Harris face mask.

This isn't her first dive into Texas politics.

The music megastar, originally from Houston, published several photos on Instagram in 2018 supporting Beto O'Rourke for Senate.

After multiple polls in Texas in the run up to election day showed a tight race between Biden and President Donald Trump, the Democratic party sees the Lone Star State as up for grabs, with Kamala Harris campaigning in the state last week.

Texas hasn't gone to a Democratic presidential candidate since Jimmy Carter in 1976.
