MAITLAND, Fla. (CBS12) — New bodycam footage shows how far off the road Marcus Jordan’s luxury SUV was when officers found him stuck on the railroad tracks.
Jordan, the son of NBA great Michael Jordan, was arrested early Tuesday morning on allegations of driving under the influence and causing property damage, possession of cocaine, and resisting arrest. He has since been released on $4,000 bond.
The Maitland Police Department released more than an hour of bodycam footage showing Jordan’s arrest. In it, the Lamborghini Urus was well off the road with its wheels spinning in the gravel every time Jordan stepped on the gas.
The probable cause affidavit against Jordan indicated that a blue Lamborghini with matching license plates had fled from a traffic stop.
He repeatedly implored the officers to help push the trapped SUV out of the ditch, both initially when they were talking to him in the vehicle and after they asked him and the person with him to get out. In the affidavit, the arresting officer reported Jordan was slurring his speech and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy.
The officers demurred, expressing concern for everyone’s safety; however, Jordan stayed focused on the SUV, telling them, “the concern is this $300,000 vehicle.” At one point, an officer noted that a train was only minutes away.
Jordan claimed to the officer that he had made a wrong turn and ended up on the tracks.

As the encounter between the officers and Jordan continued, Jordan went to put his hands in his pockets. An officer is seen telling him not to do so and moved to pat him down. At that point, Jordan noted his famous father as the officer approached.
“I’m Marcus Jordan. I’m Michael Jordan’s son,” he said. “I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m just trying to get home, and I made a wrong turn.”
A few minutes later, officers guided him away from where the vehicle was where they conducted a field sobriety test that included walking a straight line on a makeshift line of tape. Following the tests, Jordan was placed under arrest, handcuffed, and placed into the back of a cruiser.
When Jordan was searched prior to being put into the vehicle, an officer found a clear, plastic baggie that tested positive for cocaine. Officers alleged that Jordan resisted getting into the cruiser and stuck his leg out to prevent the door from closing.
As the video continued to roll after Jordan’s arrest, officers returned to the SUV where a train can be seen racing by (but not hitting) the Lamborghini.
