Brian Wilson’s memorial brings together sisters Chynna and Mackenzie Phillips
Beach Boys founder and music icon Brian Wilson was honored at a private memorial this past week, with famous friends and family quietly celebrating the music icon.
Some stars shared a glimpse behind the scenes, including Chynna Phillips, who shared a rare appearance with her half-sister, Mackenzie Phillips..
She posted several pictures from the event, including one with her half-sister, Mackenzie Phillips.
Mackenzie is the daughter of The Mamas and the Papas singer John Phillips and his first wife, Susan Adams, and Chynna is the daughter of John and fellow Mamas and the Papas singer Michelle Phillips.
Chynna made up one third of Wilson Phillips, along with Wilson’s daughters, Carnie and Wendy Wilson.
“Brian Wilson’s memorial was staggeringly beautiful. Wonderful to spend time with good friends and loved ones,” Chynna wrote in the caption of her Instagram post.
Michelle was also in attendance at the memorial for Wilson, posing with Carnie, Chynna, and other friends.
Wilson died last month at the age of 82.
“We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away,” his family shared on Instagram at the time. “We are at a loss for words right now. Anyone with a musical bone in their body must be grateful for Brian Wilson’s genius magical touch !! And greatly saddened of this major worldly loss!! My thoughts go out to his family and friends Mick Fleetwood and the Fleetwood Mac Family,” Fleetwood wrote.
