Cher didn’t hesitate to say what she really thought of Dax Shepard, husband to her “Burlesque” co-star Kristen Bell.

On Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast on Monday, Shepard mentioned how grateful he was for his family with Bell, and Cher had some thoughts.

“You’re lucky,” she told him. “She’s definitely the better half.”

Shepard acknowledged Cher isn’t his biggest fan, asking the “Believe” singer later in the episode, "Who would you like to see Kristen with? Who would be your dream partner for her? 'Cause I know you think she could be better, and I don't disagree. Who would be your pick?"

Cher didn’t have anyone specific in mind, but she did reply, "The truth is, I trust her [Bell]. So you must have something that I don't see."

Shepard and Bell were engaged while “Burlesque” was being filmed in 2010, and the couple later tied the knot in 2013. They share two daughters, Lincoln and Delta.

Even after all this time, Shepard hasn’t quite been able to impress Cher, but he pleaded his case to her on the podcast.

"I'll tell you the thing that you should like about me — I'm not threatened by her shining. The shinier she gets the better,” he said.

Cher felt the same of her own boyfriend, music executive Alexander AE Edwards.

"Alexander is that way too," she said. "The more I shine, the more he has fun."

Ultimately, Shepard admitted he’d probably never win Cher over but they were still able to be friendly.

"Cher, I adore you and I understand: Nobody's good enough for her," he said of Bell.

Bell was also on hand for most of the podcast episode and made the case for her husband as well.

"Trust me, he's a slow burn, but you're gonna learn to love him. He's almost too good for me,” she told her former co-star.

Cher gave Shepard one compliment, mentioning, “You seem like a good dad.”

He of course made a self-deprecating joke that he only hugged his daughters that day because Cher was visiting and he “wanted to impress” her.
