Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry team up for some shady dealings in 'Crime 101'
Who couldn’t be convinced to enter a world of crime by Chris Hemsworth?
Certainly not Halle Berry as we see in the latest trailer for the new Amazon MGM studios film “Crime 101.”
Berry is an insurance broker who is offered the deal of a lifetime from Hemsworth to assist in a jewel heist, an offer she simply can’t refuse when she considers that the company she works for isn’t entirely on the up and up.
But as with any crime caper, the police are hot on their trail, including a detective played by Mark Ruffalo.
Here’s the official synopsis from Amazon MGM:
“Set against the sun-bleached grit of Los Angeles, Crime 101 weaves the tale of an elusive jewel thief (Chris Hemsworth) whose string of heists along the 101 freeway have mystified police. When he eyes the score of a lifetime, his path crosses that of a disillusioned insurance broker (Halle Berry) who is facing her own crossroads. Convinced he has found a pattern, a relentless detective (Mark Ruffalo) is closing in, raising the stakes even higher. As the heist approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, and all three are faced with life-defining choices–and the realization that there can be no turning back.”
There’s also an X factor with Barry Keoghan’s mysterious bleach blonde courier. The trailer makes it hard to tell who’s side he’s on, or if he’s on anyone’s side but his own.
“Crime 101” is in theaters February 13.
