Here's what's coming to Netflix in October 2019

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) -- The Netflix revolving door in October sees the usual suspects like "Men in Black," "Charlie's Angels," "Bad Boys" and "Ocean's Twelve" returning to the streaming service, but the real excitement comes the original programming.

Here's what Netflix is actively pushing:

And here are twelve titles that caught my eye and will be added to my list:

Living Undocumented -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

"Living Undocumented" tells the stories of eight undocumented immigrant families who are chasing the American dream. You don't have to agree with them being here, but it is important to know why they are here. (Avail. 10/2/19)

Rotten: Season 2 -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

Netflix promotes the second season of "Rotten" by promising to reveal "the secrets behind sugar and chocolate." Who doesn't want to know what secrets sugar and chocolate keep? Are they sinister? I think they must be.

In the Tall Grass -- NETFLIX FILM

Based on the novella by Stephen King and Joe Hill, "In the Tall Grass" brings horror out of the cornfields and into the tall grass as a pair of siblings look to save a lost young boy only to end up lost in the greenery themselves. It's October. It's horror. Let's do this! (Avail. 10/4/19)

Peaky Blinders: Season 5 -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

"Peaky Blinders" is a period drama set in Birmingham, England that follows the ruthless Shelby family starringCillian Murphy as the gang's leader. For fans of "Boardwalk Empire" and "The Sopranos." (Avail. 10/4/19)

Raising Dion -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

"Raising Dion" tells the story of a widowed mother who discovers that her young son has superhero abilities. Worried that the world will exploit him, she efforts to keep his abilities hidden from the world. The premise reminds me of "Midnight Special." I loved "Midnight Special."Michael B. Jordan is an executive producer. (Avail. 10/4/19)

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie -- NETFLIX TELEVISION EVENT

Everything you need to know about "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie" is in the its title. (Avail. 10/11/19)

Fractured -- NETFLIX FILM

Hospitals are inherently frightening. Throw in a creepy staff with mysterious intentions and you've got the medical world equivalent of a circus tent filled with clowns. If the film is able to sustain its creepy atmosphere and features characters that aren't ridiculously stupid, this could work. (Avail. 10/11/19)

The Laundromat -- NETFLIX FILM

Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas in a film directed by Steven Soderbergh. I really don't need to know anything else about "The Laundromat." (Avail. 10/18/19)

Living with Yourself -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

Netflix sells "Living with Yourself" as "an inventive existential comedy" starring Paul Rudd as a man who " undergoes a novel spa treatment that promises to make him a better person, he finds he’s been replaced by a new and improved version of himself." So, it's a comedy with Paul Rudd co-starring Paul Rudd. I think I can get behind that.

Tell Me Who I Am -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

"Tell Me Who I Am" is a documentary about Alex, a man who lost his memory at 18, who relies upon his twin brother Marcus to help him know who he is. But Marcus isn't exactly telling the truth about their family. (Avail. 10/18/19)

Jenny Slate: Stage Fright -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

I don't typically enjoy stand-up comedy, but I do love Jenny Slate and ghost stories and the Netflix description promises both. (Avail. 10/22/19)

Daybreak -- NETFLIX ORIGINAL

I'm going to be completely honest. "Daybreak" looks terrible.Netflix's description name drops the cult cinema classic "Battle Royale" as it describes a post-apocalyptic world built upon a the stereotypical high school social structure.Matthew Broderick is in it. The question is: Can I survive all ten episodes or will I give up on the series after two or three? (Avail. 10/24/19)
