NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) - Country music singer Chris Young was arrested Monday night at a popular Nashville bar. He’s accused of not complying with police officers or agents with the Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC).

An arrest warrant says the incident happened at Tin Roof. ABC agents were at the establishment to conduct a compliance check. The affidavit says agents checked Young’s ID card—that’s when Young “started asking questions.”

According to the arrest warrant, Young began video recording authorities. Agents and officers left the bar and went to a bar next door for more compliance checks.

“While in the bar, Mr. Young and multiple friends followed us to the bar and began talking to people at the bar and the bartender,” the arresting officer wrote.

When agents were finished with checks, Young allegedly “put his hands out to stop me from leaving and ‘stuck’ me on the shoulder,” the officer said.

Authorities say patrons and Young began “yelling and screaming.” The country star is accused of being incompliant with orders and “making the incident hostile.” He reportedly had slurred speech and watery, red eyes.

Young was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

See the statement from Chris Young's attorney Bill Ramsey below:

What happened to my client Chris Young at a bar in Nashville on Monday night was wrong and he never should have been arrested and charged in the first place. In light of the video evidence, Tennessee ABC needs to drop the charges and apologize for the physical, emotional and professional harm done towards my client .
