Dolly Parton is about to reach a milestone birthday in less than two weeks, but she’s going to have to miss some of the celebrations.

The Grand Ole Opry is hosting a star-studded celebration set for January 17, two days before her official birthday, with special guests like Lainey Wilson and Vince Gill, but sadly, Parton will be absent.

"Well hey there Grand Ole Opry family," Parton said in a video shared on the venue’s Instagram. "I just wanted to say how much it means to me that you're all coming together again this year to celebrate my big ol' birthday with some of my songs."

"Some of my favorite memories happened right here on stage at the Grand Ole Opry, and I wish I could be there in person but I'll be sending you all my love, for sure,” she continued.

Parton concluded, “So you have the best night ever!”

The Grand Ole Opry reiterated Parton’s absence from the event in the comments.

"While Dolly is unable to attend in person, we’re looking forward to honoring her through song and fun all day long," they wrote, adding that there would be birthday party cupcakes, a "larger-than-life birthday card for fans to sign," photo opportunities with a Parton impersonator, "Dolly-themed drinks," and tributes.

The news of Parton missing out on a birthday event comes a few months after she had to postpone her Las Vegas residency due to “some health challenges.”

She also quipped that she just needs "a little time to get show-ready," and has no plans of calling it quits anytime soon despite having to take time to address her health.

In November, she reflected on her upcoming milestone birthday in an interview with People.

“People say, ‘Well, you’re going to be 80 years old.’ Well, so what? Look at all I’ve done in 80 years. I feel like I’m just getting started. I know that sounds stupid, but unless my health gives way, which right now I seem to be doing fine . . . I think there’s a lot to be said about age. If you allow yourself to get old, you will. I say, ‘I ain’t got time to get old!’ I ain’t got time to dwell on that. That’s not what I’m thinking about,” she said.
