Elton John, Rob Zombie, Metallica and more tributes pour in for Ozzy Osbourne

The death of Ozzy Osbourne has spurred an outpouring of love and fond memories from fans and friends.

Osbourne died at age 76, just weeks after completing his final live performance, reuniting with his band Black Sabbath in their hometown of Birmingham, England.

Metallica, who performed at the show with Osbourne, shared a throwback photo and a broken heart emoji to acknowledge their fellow rocker's death.

Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones shared in a tweet, "I am so very sad to hear of the death of Ozzy Osbourne," adding, "What a lovely goodbye concert he had at Back To The Beginning in Birmingham."

Rob Zombie shared a carousel of photos of Osbourne, writing, Goodbye Ozzy. Thanks for everything. It was always a blast being around you. You will be missed."

David Draiman, lead singer of the heavy metal band Disturbed, wrote in a post, "Goodbye my dear teacher...a father to all of usmy friend. I love you @OzzyOsbourne and I will miss you terribly."

The White Stripes frontman Jack White shared a black and white photo of Osbourne with the simple caption, "He made it."

Elton John shared a photo of himself and Osbourne on Instagram, writing, "So sad to hear the news of @ozzyosbourne passing away. He was a dear friend and a huge trailblazer who secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods - a true legend. He was also one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. I will miss him dearly. To Sharon and the family, I send my condolences and love."

British journalist Piers Morgan shared a photo with Osbourne and his wife, Sharon Osbourne, offering his condolences.

"One of the greatest rock stars in history, and a wonderful character. Truly one of the funniest people I’ve ever known. I once asked him what was the best moment of his life and he replied instantly: ‘Meeting Sharon.’ My heart breaks for her," Morgan wrote.

Adam Sandler, who featured Osbourne in his movie "Little Nicky," shared a touching tribute.

"Whether we were in our basements with our brothers, in the woods with our buddies, in the car, at a keg party, on a boat, at football practice, at a sleepover.Nobody was more badass to crank up on our speakers than the one and only prince of darkness - Ozzy Osborne! Loved him a lot like we all did! Sending love to the family and so happy to have spent time with the legend himself. RIP"

Rapper Flavor Flav posted, "Man,,, real heart broken over the passing of OZZY OSBOURNE,,, we go way back and it was a real honor to watch him get inducted into the [Rock and Roll Hall of Fame] last year. Sending my love and prayers to Sharon and his kids and whole family. RIP"

ICE T wrote, "RIP Ozzy. Right after the recent huge Black Sabbath final concert. Sad.. In my opinion the Creators of Heavy Metal."
