The 2025 Emmy nominations were announced Tuesday morning and there were a lot of unexpected moments! See all the top snubs and surprises from the noms:

SURPRISES:

Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey and “The Last of Us” cast get Emmy love.

With a rocky reception to the sci-fi series’ second season and a quick exit from Pascal, the show racked up 16 nominations, including acting nods for Pascal, Ramsey, Catherine O’Hara, Kaitlyn Dever, and Jeffrey Wright, plus a Best Drama series nomination for the 2025 Emmys.

‘The Voice’ is not nominated for the first time in over 10 years.

The beloved singing competition show has received an outstanding reality competition program nom every year since 2012, winning four times, but it was shut out of the category this year.

Love for “Paradise”

Not only did the show get nominated for outstanding drama series for its inaugural season, but Emmy voters also thought stars Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden and Julianne Nicholson needed to be recognized for their acting in the dystopian drama.

SNUBS:

Selena Gomez and Steve Martin shut out from “Only Murders in the Building”

The Disney star earned her first acting nomination last year when the category had six nominees, now it’s back to only having five nominees, and The Academy left Gomez, and Martin, out of the running for the gold statuette.

No nominations for Meryl Streep?!

Have a recurring role in “Only Murders in the Building,” the Emmys didn’t nominate Streep which is shocking because she’s nominated for everything!

“Squid Game” comes up empty handed

Releasing its final season in June, and it being one of the biggest shows of the year, it’s shocking the Netflix drama came up empty handed with zero nominations this morning.

The 77th Emmy Awards, hosted by Nate Bargatze, will be live on CBS from the Peacock Theater in L.A. on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. The show will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
