Fans speculate Westerly as potential wedding venue for Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce
After all, it was a love story, and Taylor’s answer was yes!
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged to be married. The couple made the announcement on Instagram on Tuesday in a surprise Instagram post.
“Taylor found love and we’re so happy for her,” said Emily Entwistle of Stonington Connecticut. “Chills, tears in my eyes, so happy for her and Travis, so excited.”
The couple captioned the post, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
The news now raises the question, where will the wedding be?
“Hopefully here in Westerly,” said Ava Naylor of Westerly. “And I want an invite.”
Taylor Swift owns a home in Westerly at Watch Hill, which is currently undergoing over a million dollars in renovations.
The home is just feet away from the Ocean House, which is where Rhode Island celebrity Olivia Culpo and NFL running back Christian McCaffrey got married last year.
Swift purchased the Watch Hill home in 2013, she then wrote a song about the history of the mansion in 2020.
“That’s kind of the perfect venue,” said Nataley Williams of Westerly. “I want to be down on the beach and She could just do it on the cliff of her patio and we can stare at her and applaud.”
The Ocean House said they have no comment on the wedding.
