School is back in session at Hogwarts as production begins on the new “Harry Potter” series.

HBO released two new photos this week of some of the cast, including Hagrid and Harry Potter himself.

Dominic McLaughlin posed for a photo as Harry, sporting the Hogwarts school robes, and the boy wizard’s signature glasses, tousled hair, and of course, the lightning bolt scar on his forehead.

Newcomer McLaughlin was announced as Harry Potter back in May, along with Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.

“The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen. We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It's been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there,” Francesca Gardiner, showrunner and executive producer and Mark Mylod, director of multiple episodes and executive producer said in a statement.

Nick Frost, who recently starred in “How to Train Your Dragon,” is hard to recognize in character as friendly groundskeeper Hagrid, with a massive shaggy beard and green coat.

Filming has commenced in the U.K. for the series, adapted from J.K. Rowling’s beloved books, and set to debut on HBO and HBO Max in 2027.

Rounding out the cast are other notable names, including John Lithgow as headmaster Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell and Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch.

“We are happy to announce the casting of John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, Paapa Essiedu, Nick Frost, Luke Thallon and Paul Whitehouse to play Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, Hagrid, Quirrell and Filch,” Francesca Gardiner and Mylod said in a statement. “We’re delighted to have such extraordinary talent onboard, and we can’t wait to see them bring these beloved characters to new life.”
