Granger Smith thanks community for its support after his son's death

AUSTIN, Texas (KEYE) - In a new video, county-music singer Granger Smith thanked the community, doctors and nurses, at Dell Children's Medical Center for their support after his young son's death earlier this month.

River Kelly Smith was taken to Dell Children's Medical Center for treatment before passing away earlier this month.

Granger Smith said in the video he has plans to deliver a $100,000 check from the sale of shirts in son's honor to the hospital with his family sometime this week.

River's organs were donated "so that other children will be given a second chance at life."
