SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTGS) — Alaia Baldwin Aronow, Hailey Bieber's sister, was arrested in Savannah at a nightclub on Saturday after staff said she threw a used tampon at a bartender and assaulted multiple bouncers.
According to Club Elan Bartender Haleigh Cauley, police were called to the nightclub on reports of an altercation.
She told WTGS that the staff asked Aronow to leave the employee-only bathroom where she was sick. After repeated requests for Aronow to leave, she allegedly assaulted three of the staffers.
Cauley said Aronow threw a used tampon at her before assaulting the bouncers who escorted her out of the club.
I was feeling disrespected. That is something that is gross, that is body fluids, and that is worse than spitting on somebody. I mean, it is very embarrassing that that had happened, you know," said Cauley. "I controlled myself. I walked away from the situation because I was in shock.
While Aronow already faces assault and battery charges, Cauley said she plans on pressing further charges herself.
The Savannah Police Department reported they spoke with a bouncer who stated Aronow "grabbed a handful of his hair and pulled it out" while another said "he'd been hit in the genitals by the female they were attempting to remove from the club."
After speaking with employees, deputies said the manager showed security footage of the incident.
Aronow can be seen in the video forcing her way into the locked employee bathroom while one bouncer tells her she can't be in there, according to deputies. Cauley later appears trying to speak with Aronow before "jumping back out of the bathroom presumably when the tampon was thrown."
She is then seen "exiting the restroom and immediately being escorted from the building" by two bouncers, deputies said. "Aronow can be seen fighting and resisting the entire way outside. The video clearly shows Aronow grabbing and pulling" the bouncer's hair and hitting one in the genitals.
When Aronow was confronted by deputies, they said she tried to justify her actions by saying she was defending herself.
Aronow was booked at the Chatham County Detention Center and posted bail the same night.
