'Happy Gilmore 2' is packed with over 70 cameos: is Taylor Swift among them?
“Happy Gilmore 2” on Netflix has been a hit since its premiere last weekend and is absolutely stuffed with cameos.
Among the 72 counted cameos is Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end and boyfriend of Taylor Swift.
And now, fans have started speculating that Swift herself made a hidden cameo.
Earlier this week, Netflix posted a behind the scenes video of a scene featuring Kelce tied to a lamp post and painted with honey by Bad Bunny (part of a dream sequence to be clear).
Kelce is then attacked by a person in a bear costume, and Swifties believe she’s the one doing the mauling as part of a super secret cameo.
That speculation was further fueled by Netflix after a fan wrote “They should’ve dressed Taylor as a bear for an epic surprise,” they responded with the “looking” eyeballs emoji.
Another potential clue came last week when Swift posted about “Happy Gilmore 2” on her Instagram story.
“‘Happy Gilmore 2’ had me cackling and cheering the whole movie! An absolute must watch, 13/10, go watch it on @netflix as soon as humanly possibly” she wrote, adding a honey pot emoji, which fans now see as a hint to her being in the bear costume.
Even with all that evidence, it’s not too likely it happened.
Adam Sandler told “Extra” that he didn’t even ask Swift to make a cameo, telling the outlet, "We didn’t want to bother Taylor. Just let Taylor entertain the world like she does.”
