Harrison Ford doesn’t ask his 'Shrinking' co-stars for advice: 'I go home for that s--t'
Many of Harrison Ford’s “Shrinking” co-stars have talked about going to him for advice, but does he ever turn to them?
“No, I go home for that s**t! That’s where I get my instruction,” Ford joked at the inaugural Televerse 2025 conference at J.W. Marriott Hotel in downtown Los Angeles on Friday.
His co-star, Jessica Williams, teased, “Never in a million years would he do that!”
Ford added, “I’m not testing people on what they know!”
But in truth, Ford is delighted to be part of the “Shrinking” cast.
“I’m just having such pleasure in the company that has been organized for me to keep and the things that we get to talk about and the way we get to talk about them gives me a great feeling of pride, not for my work, but for our work, for what we’re doing together,” Ford said.
He continued, “The movie business, I get hired to be, very often, a lead character. That’s a way of working, and it’s fine. But there’s something special about really investing in each other’s lives.
Williams added, “Ensemble is nice. We’re all sharing.”
“I think Jason [Segel] kind of takes the large brunt of it, but we do all kind of interweave our characters together. And we’re in the supporting categories so there’s something nice aboutshowing up [in] supporting.”
“Shrinking” is one of the top contenders in the comedy category this year, with nine nominations in total, including Ford’s first-ever nomination, as well as nominations for Williams, Jason Segel in the lead actor category and Outstanding Comedy Series.
Segel described working with the iconic actor, sharing the softer side of Ford.
“We all run lines together, we all talk about scenes together, he treats us all like peers and contemporaries and friends, I mean it’s the most generous thing I’ve been around.”
