Here's what's coming to Netflix in May 2020

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) - Maybe you've binged your way through your A-list, B-list and never-would-watch lists and are desperate for something (anything) new. The good news is that May is nearly here and Netflix has a bounty of new titles to fill your afternoons with. Comedy specials from Jerry Seinfeld and Patton Oswald; a second season of "Dead to Me;" more "Magic for Humans;" an interactive "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" and the final run for "She-Ra and the Princesses of Power."

Here's a look at some of the other titles that caught my eye.

Hollywood

From Ryan Murphy ("American Horror Story"), "Hollywood" is a drama about a group of diverse characters trying to make it in a post-World War II Hollywood. The cast includes Darren Criss, Patti LuPone, Jim Parsons, Holland Taylor,Dylan McDermott and Samara Weaving. (Avail. 5/1/20)

Into the Night

Inspired by the Polish novel "The Old Axolotl," "Into the Night" is an apocalyptic drama where the light of the sun is deadly. Takes place on a plane. Sort of the foil of "Snowpiercer." Honestly, the Wikipedia description of the novel (which includes androids with digitized human consciousness) sounds far more interesting. (Avail. 5/1/20)

Chichipatos

All I know is that "Chichipatos" looks absolutely bonkers as a party magician finds himself in hot water when he makes a drug lord disappear. (Avail. 5/15/20)

Ne Zha

"Ne Zha," a Chinese animated film loosely based on "The Investiture of the Gods," a tale of gods and demons that mixes folklore and mythology with Chinese history. The film was shown in IMAX theaters in China. (Avail. 5/25/20)

Uncut Gems

Adam Sandler stars in "Uncut Gems," a thriller that sees the comedian setting aside his comedic talents for a more dramatic performance as Howard Ratner, a jeweler with an insurmountable amount of gambling debt who bankrolls his life on the winnings he'll make tomorrow. Directed by Josh and Benny Safdie, "Uncut Gems" features Kevin Garnett and The Weekend as fictional versions of themselves and strong performances from Sandler, Lakeith Stanfield, Julia Fox and Idina Menzel. Space Force

Steve Carell stars in the comedy series "Space Force." A fictional take on the forming of sixth branch of the United States military. Co-starsJohn Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Diana Silvers and Tawny Newsome. You had me at Diana Silvers. Everything else is just cake icing. (Avail. 5/29/20)

• Hannah Gadsby: Douglas -- NETFLIX COMEDY SPECIAL

  In the mountains of Monterrey, Mexico, a small street gang named “Los Terkos” spend their days listening to slowed down cumbia music and attending dance parties, showing off their outfits, hairstyles and gang alliances. These different bands of disaffected youth refer to themselves as Kolombianos, combining the Cholo culture with Colombian music. Ulises Samperio (17), the leader of Los Terkos, tries to protect his friends from the nefarious elements of a quickly evolving drug/political war, but after a misunderstanding with a local cartel, he is forced to leave for Jackson Heights, Queens, a diverse immigrant community in New York City. Ulises tries to assimilate, but when he learns that his gang and the whole Kolombia culture is under threat, he questions his place in America and longs to return home.
