Notable rapper Tekashi69 or 6ix9ine, also known as Daniel Hernandez, was arrested in Palm Beach County on Wednesday night.

After receiving traffic citations in June for driving an unregistered vehicle, having no insurance and speeding 136 mph in a 65 mph zone in a Lamborghini SUV, he was given a court appearance on July 12 and ordered to pay $1,116 in civil penalties. Hernandez did not show up at this hearing, so the judge issued a warrant for his arrest for failing to appear, records show.

Palm Beach Sheriff's Office (PBSO) deputies were doing traffic enforcement when they reportedly saw a vehicle commit an infraction.

Deputies also saw the car didn't have a license tag, a PBSO news release said. Once identified as 6ix9ine, or Daniel Hernandez, deputies saw he had a suspended driver's license and the active warrant.

He was arrested and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail around 9 p.m. on Wednesday with a bond amount of $2,000.

About three hours later, the rapper was released.

On Thursday, 6ix9ine and his counsel entered a not guilty plea for the criminal traffic charges from June.
