Husband of Joe Exotic announces divorce plans over social media

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KOKH) — Joe Maldonado Passage, popularly known as Joe Exotic, and his husband, Dillon Passage, are getting a divorce, Passage announced on Instagram.

Passage wrote on Instagram that he has always stood by his side and "will continue to always love and support him."

"This wasn't an easy decision to make but Joe and I both understand this situation isn't fair to either of us," Passage said. "It's something that neither of us was expecting but we are going to take it day by day."

Joe Exotic's lawyer, John Phillips, said on Twitter that their law firm is reviewing options with him regarding separation and divorce.
