'I Know What You Did Last Summer' premiere brings back 90s icons and power couple

It was a summer scream on the black carpet for the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” premiere Monday night in downtown Los Angeles.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, star of the original film and its sequel, stunned in a glittering black body-hugging dress and new red hair.

Fellow stars of the original and 90s power couple Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. shared a sweet date night at the premiere.

Cameras even captured a cute moment where Gellar was looking up adoringly at Prinze while they posed.

Hewitt and Prinze reprise their roles as Julie and Ray from the first film in the new legacy sequel.

In the new “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident,” and decide to “cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences.”

But of course, “their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summerand is hell-bent on revenge.”

To avoid being hacked to death by the fishhook wielding slasher, they turn to the survivors of the “legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help,” Julie and Ray.

The new cast also stepped out for the movie and posed with the OG stars.

“Outer Banks” star Madelyn Cline wore a plunging pink gown, while Chase Sui Wonders wore a lingerie inspired look.

Wonders and Hewitt also shared a moment holding hands and greeting each other with big smiles.
