Prosecutors in the UK confirmed on Wednesday that they authorized 21 charges against influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate.

The criminal charges filed by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) include rape and human trafficking for the Tates, dual U.S. and British citizens who moved to Romania in 2016, according to the BBC.

Andrew Tate, 38, and former kickboxer, faces 10 charges related to three women that include rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking and controlling prostitution for gain. Tristan Tate, 36, faces 11 charges related to one woman that include rape, human trafficking and actual bodily harm.

The brothers were first arrested in Romania in December 2022 with Andrew accused of rape and human trafficking and Tristan suspected of human trafficking.

They denied all of the allegations against them and spent several months under house arrest.

In August 2024, Romania's anti-organized crime agency, DIICOT, searched Andrew's home in Bucharest and nearby Ilfov county, investigating allegations of human trafficking, the trafficking of minors, sexual intercourse with a minor, influencing statements and money laundering.

Romanian courts have issued an order to extradite the two to the U.K. once their court case is concluded there, British prosecutors said.

The warrant issued by Bedfordshire Police for the siblings dates back to between 2012 and 2015.

The whereabouts of the brothers was not immediately clear. They were photographed a week ago outside a police station in Voluntari, Romania, where they have to report regularly while facing charges there.
