InStyle magazine honors Oklahoma woman known for her Sunday hats

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — An Oklahoma churchgoer, now famously known for her hats, has been named one of 50 women making the world a better placeby InStyle magazine.

Dr. La Verne Ford Wimberly(and her hats) definitely gave many people a reason to smile during the pandemic.

Shortly after KTUL featured her story, she stole the world's heart, appearing on countless national and international media outlets.

Now, in another nod to her style, positivity and all-around great attitude, Dr. Wimberly came in at number 15 on InStyle's list.
