Is a Princess Diana documentary is in the works from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new deal at Netflix could lead to a Princess Diana documentary.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a new contract with the streaming giant earlier this month and have a list of proposed ideas, per a report from The Sun.
The documentary would reportedly coincide with the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, which happened on August 31, 1997.
Prince Harry was 12 when Diana died in a car crash in Paris and has become more open in recent years about the impact her tragic death has had on him.
In a poignant letter to Scotty's Little Soldiers, a charity supporting those who have lost parents in the military, the 40-year-old royal wrote, "It can be overwhelming and isolating. Yet, in the midst of that heartache, we find strength in the love and memories left behind, and I have seen how communities like yours can offer deep comfort and healing."
As for other projects from the couple and their Archewell Productions company, there’s already a new season of Meghan’s’ show, “With Love, Meghan,” set to debut next week, as well as a holiday special for the series in December.
Prince Harry and Meghan are also involved in a documentary short about orphans in Uganda, titled “Masaka Kids: A Rhythm Within.”
