It's decision day on '90 Day: Hunt for Love': Who made it? And who's going home alone?
It's decision time for the “90 Day: Hunt for Love” hopefuls. Who took home a romantic trophy? And who’s leaving empty-handed?
We pick up at the party on the beach, with Rob and Cole getting in each other’s faces over Jennifer for the umpteenth time. Rob accuses Cole of trying to steal his girl, while Cole takes a dig at Rob over his ex-wife, adding he thinks he’s better for Jennifer than Rob.
It seems like things will get physical for a minute but cooler heads prevail and they split off into separate groups. Cole tells Jennifer he’s the one for her and the love triangle is over. In her interview, Jennifer does think Rob has been lying but also doesn’t love Cole coming off as controlling as he is, so she’s on the fence if either guy is for her.
Meanwhile, Carlo is hovering behind Tiffany and overhears her say she’s so annoyed she could punch someone and he says, unprompted, “I’m sorry.” Tiffany just rolls her eyes and walks away. Elise and Cortney come into the area and completely ignore Carlo too, and it’s clear this guy has screwed things up beyond repair. Or so it seems.
The next morning, they all pile into vans to go to the dock for a yacht ride, where the dating experts tell them there’s just two days left to make their final decisions and consider who has long-term potential outside the resort.
On the boat, Rocky and Tiffany sit down for a chat. They connected on day one, and Tiffany has always felt something for Rocky, but never really explored it after she got caught up with Carlo. Rocky asks her if she’s still into Carlo, and she admits she’s on the fence, but is also interested in pursuing her connection with Rocky.
Cortney catches some of the gang up on her situation with Colt, explaining she’ll be staying in Mexico longer while he recovers and them, because he is jobless and homeless, he’s going to come liver with her and her parents, at least temporarily. Usman is worried Colt is taking advantage of Cortney and tells her as much, criticizing Colt’s failure to put a roof over his own head. Despite really bonding, Cortney is a little uncertain after Usman’s warning.
Elsewhere on the boat, Rob is trying to look forward after the last hiccup with Jennifer, insisting to her that he and Mei were just playing a friendly game of dominoes at night like friends do. Jennifer hears him out, but tells him she won’t make her final decision until the next night. Cole observes Rob and Jennifer’s conversation, but can’t hear any of it, and remains confident she will choose him.
Carlo is also observing Rocky and Tiffany share a spark and goes to speak with her. He admits he’s jealous and messed things up, but Tiffany is wary as she has a history of forgiving people who hurt her and she doesn’t want to repeat that. He apologizes again and tries to assure her that he’ll do right by her.
Elise, ever the troublemaker, notices that Jennifer is wearing a bracelet she gave to Rob at the masquerade party the first night at the resort. She thinks Jennifer took it from Rob’s nightstand one of the nights she was over, and is playing detective once again. She asks Cole about it and Cole shrugs it off, telling her to go ask Rob.
She does, and Rob says he didn’t purposefully give it to her, she must have just picked it up without his realizing it. Elise wants to know when it happened. But Rob doesn’t really care, and similarly shrugs it off. Elise questions Jennifer who is also unbothered, even after Elise asks for it back, and wonders why Elise is always trying to start something with her. No one really cares one way or another about this bracelet, and it really appears to be one last attempt for Elise to start trouble with other people.
The boat ride finally ends and Jennifer and Cole have a conversation in her room, where he promises he sees a future with her, down to helping her get a K-1 visa to the U.S. As she did with Rob, she tells him he’ll just have to wait to know her final answer.
Finally, it’s decision day!
But first people have to still go on dates. Mei and Tim meet for their second date, a yoga class, but Tim has to skip the actual yoga because of a supposed bad back. Instead he tells Mei he sees she’s more interested in Rob and that he’s ok with that and is ready to just be friends with her. Mei is confused and put off by his insecurity, but they agree to be pals. She adds in her interview she hopes Tim gets a little more self-confidence, and reiterates the tumors about her and Rob are untrue.
Rocky and Tiffany’s date goes much better. He cooks her brunch, and he tells her he’s watched the other guys fumble her, but he’s ready to shine. They are very flirty, and Rocky really brings it home when he seranades he with a ukelele. Tiffany claims she’s still uncertain about which guy to choose: the one who dumped her for 24 hours and tried to get her back, or the one who just sang her a sweet ditty and said he is happy to become a step-dad?
Now, it’s finally decision time.
First, the people going home alone say their piece. Tim says he moves slow and tried to get out of his comfort zone but it didn’t work. However, he’s happy with the friends he made.
Chantel also addresses the group and shares that she’ll be exploring her relationship with Ashley back home. Everyone cheers her on and she’s happy she came out, but she’s still wrorried about what her friends and family will say, but she’s glad she made her decision.
Next are the various love triangles.
Tiffany comes on down and reveals her pick: It’s Rocky! That must have been some brunch and ukelele song because they had one singular date the morning of and felt a real connection to declare their feelings for each other on the final night.
Carlo comes down to speak and at first, everyone thinks he’s going to cause a problem. But instead he congratulates Rocky and tiffany, and says he regrets hurting her. He also shares that the person he’d like to leave with is in fact Elise and everyone is confused, including Elise.
He begins a passionate plea but is interrupted when Rob says he made the same declaration of love to Tiffany! Sure enough, a flashback clip confirms it, as does Tiffany. Carlo tries to insist Tiffany is just jealous and lying, but she doesn’t care, she has Rocky. Elise, despite being hurt by Carlo, agrees to give him another chance.
Everyone is just kind of baffled and not really buying Carlo and Elise as having a successful future, but the good vibes return when Cortney stpes up and announces she’s going home with Colt. She knows there’s red flags, but all the time they spent together really sealed their bond. Usman is hurt by this, but wishes them well regardless, determined to find his own queen someday. (Side note, this all happens on his birthday. Ouch).
Rob is called down for his decision moment and actually gets booed by Carlo, so much so the dating experts have to tell him to stop. With that out of the way, he invites Jen down to ask her to continue their relationship outside the retreat.
Jennifer then askes Cole to come on down and she says he’s the right person for her, and they share a kiss to seal the deal. He even gets down on his knee and gifts Jennifer the bracelet that had been the subject of attempted drama earlier.
Rob is stunned and almost a bit teary eyed, but he at least feels confident he can find a similar relationship in the future. He doesn’t think Cole is ready for marriage after three weeks, as Cole claims.
And that’s decision night! The whole group dances the rest of the evening away on the beach, mostly happy if not a tad surprised by some of the outcomes.
As for those going home solo? As Rob put it, the “hunt for love continues.”
