Jana Kramer on new music with Jessie James Decker, wants Lainey Wilson collab

Jana Kramer is back with new country music, teaming up with longtime friend Jessie James Decker! On Friday, the 41-year-old singer dropped the surprise collaboration ‘Do it in Heels’ on her Instagram, but told us exclusively it was on the way when we spoke to her earlier this month.
“Well, I have a collab that we have been slightly teasing me and Jesse Decker might have something up our sleeves... So TBD on that,” Kramer revealed in June while promoting her Lifetime movie ‘Kidnapped by a Killer: The Hannah Robinson Story.’
Jessie, 37, celebrated the long-awaited release writing in the comments, “Jana we did it It’s here!!!!!!!”
While releasing her cover art she wrote in the caption, “After writing so many heartbreak songs, I was craving and wanting something FUN—an anthem for all the strong, beautiful women who carry the weight of the world with grace (and yes, in heels).”
Kramer told us she’s singing a different tune these days after releasing back-to-back sad songs. The singer is married to former soccer player Allan Russell after tying the knot in July 2024 in Scotland.
“I try to sing things that I that are authentic and relatable to what I've been through in my life,” Kramer said. “Now that I'm happy and in a happy marriage, and, you know family and everything is good? The music's getting a little sunnier, which I think is good.”
In 2021, Kramer finalized her divorce from Mike Caussin after nearly 7 years of marriage, citing inappropriate marital behavior. The exes share daughter Jolie, 8, and son Jace Joseph, 6. Kramer and Russell welcomed their 1-year-old son Roman in November 2023.

Now that the ‘One Tree Hill’ alum is back in the studio, she dished on the country stars she wants to work with next.
“My focus is always the acting world, but it's there are some insanely talented people out there. I think Megan Moroney is so fun and sweet, and Laney Wilson's insane,” Kramer revealed. “So if I could get a collab with her, and then we can act together too, like that'd just be like a dream boat scenario.”
The singer says she’s serious about making the Lainey Wilson collaboration happen and is hoping since they “have the same agent” she can make a couple calls to seal the deal.
