Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reunited on 'Kiss of the Spider Woman' red carpet
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are still showing support for one another even after their divorce.
The former couple posed together on the red carpet at the New York premiere of “Kiss of the Spider Woman.”
Jennifer stars in the musical drama, while Ben served as an executive producer on the film with his Artists Equity production company, co-founded with longtime pal Matt Damon.
Cameras caught them doing standard red carpet poses side by side, as well as a couple more intimate moments, showing Ben leaning in to speak with Jennifer amid the crowd noise.
Both exchanged smiles and appeared comfortable with one another, despite their split.
Before the screening, Jennifer introduced the film to the audience and thanked Ben, saying, “Thank you so much, thank you everybody for being here tonight. Thank you, Ben, this movie wouldn’t have been made without Ben and without Artists Equity,” per People Magazine.
She continued, “I read the script, if you know, I was in bed and I was just floored. I was just like could this be happening right now. I get to sing, I get to dance, I get to act. I get to be an old-time Hollywood movie star."
Jennifer also thanked Ben during her “Today” appearance Monday, after an awkward question from host Craig Melvin.
“In the middle of filming this elaborate, beautiful musical, your divorce was also finalized with Ben,” Melvin said.
Jennifer cut him off with a laugh, saying, “There you go! Look at this guy!”
Melvin quickly clarified, “But then I read that your ex is an executive producer on the film.”
“If it wasn’t for Ben, the movie wouldn’t have gotten made,” she said brushing off the awkward moment. “And I will always give him that credit.”
She added, “And yeah, things happen, you have to keep going.”
Ben and Jennifer first met in 2002 and were engaged in 2004 before breaking it off and moving on to other relationships. They rekindled their romance in 2021 and were married in a small ceremony in 2022, later holding a second ceremony in Georgia with more friends and family.
They divorced in February 2024, citing irreconcilable differences.
