John Cena is adamant about not returning to the WWE after retirement tour

The wrestler currently on his retirement tour, but after his final match in December, he won’t ever return to the ring.

While on the press tour for his new movie, “Heads of State,” the pro-wrestler now turned Hollywood actor says, “It’s just a battle of, ‘How long do I fight those red flags before it could be counterproductive? I still look good, I feel good, I still feel like I can perform at WWE level, but I also think it’s time for me to step aside and let the young talent step forward,” he tells Michael Strahan on ‘Good Morning America.’

He decided to go on his retirement tour to give the fans what they wanted, “I said for the year I’d perform in 36 states. We’re halfway though, and I think nobody thought I was serious. And now that we’re halfway through and people really understand that my last match is in December and it’s time for me to move on, the audiences has never been more electric.”

He then when on to confirm what every John Cena fan was hoping wasn’t true, “There is no way. There is absolutely I don’t want to speak in absolutes because I don’t want to close any opportunity, but I made a promise to the fans who’ve allowed me to be here for a quarter of a century. They allowed me to sit with you today. I wouldn’t disrespect them like that. This is an event – when people attend, it’s very exclusive.

John Cena’s last match is scheduled for December 13 at the TD Garden in Boston.
