Justin Timberlake says he's inspired by the students coming to Washington for Saturday's March for Our Lives and he's urging everyone to join with the marchers.

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser says she's teaming up with Timberlake "to demand that the safety of our families and our children become a priority."

Timberlake says he's proud of the students for "owning their voices."

In Timberlake's Instagram post, he and the mayor promote the March for Our Lives website and the official app.

The March For Our Lives begins at noon on Saturday, March 24 on Pennsylvania Avenue, between 3rd and 12th street NW.

Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Miley Cyrus, and Demi Lovato will be among those performing and marching the with the hundreds of thousands of people expected to protest gun violence. The demonstration has been organized by students who survived the deadly Valentine's Day shooting in Parkland, Florida.
