Kelly Clarkson continuously proves what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!

After canceling the opening shows for her Las Vegas residency, Kelly Clarkson kicked off her Studio Sessions residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace over the weekend.

“It took me a minute. I’m so sorry., I know some of ya’ll has tickets for last weekend’s shows. I’m so sorry. We can’t help our bodies sometimes. You know, we get sick, and that happens,” she tells her sold-out crowd.

She continued, “But thank ya’ll for showing up. We are so excited. This is my favorite residency – my favorite show I’ve ever put together, because I love being in the studio.”

Kelly Clarkson was set to begin her Las Vegas residency the weekend of July 4th, but had to postpone the show minutes before it began.

At the time she posted on her IG account saying, “We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,” she wrote. “I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.”

Later in the night, the talk show host took a shot of tequila with an audience member and exclaimed, “I’m celebrating because I had to cancel last weekend. I cried. I was so sick. It sucked. I’m so happy to be here!”

Sixteen performances of Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions are scheduled through November 15. She has not announced new dates for the postponed July 4 and July 5 shows.
