UPDATE: In response to Kevin Federline's claims in his memoir, a representative for Britney Spears released a statement to TNND Entertainment.

“With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin,” the statement reads. “All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir [The Woman in Me].”

Kevin Federline is opening up about his fears over Britney Spears' alleged concerning behavior in his new memoir.

In the book, titled, “You Thought You Knew,” Kevin feels Britney’s “situation” is “racing toward something irreversible,” according to excerpts provided to The New York Times.

“It’s become impossible to pretend everything’s OK. From where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we’re getting close to the 11th hour,” he wrote, per the outlet. “Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces.”

The couple were married for three years and share two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

According to Kevin, Britney has reportedly watched their sons sleeping while holding a knife in her hand.

Both boys grew up primarily in Kevin’s custody, and the dancer says he hasn’t spoke with his ex in “years.”

Britney was under a 13-year conservatorship controlled by her father, Jamie Spears until 2021.

The conservatorship was the subject of heavy debate in the public, sparking the “Free Britney” movement, which Kevin writes in his memoir “started from a good place” but ultimately proved unhelpful.

“All those people who put so much effort into that should now put the same energy into the ‘Save Britney’ movement,” he wrote. “Because this is no longer about freedom. It’s about survival.”

He added, "Now, more than ever, [our children] need your support. I’ve been their buffer for years, but now it’s bigger than me. It’s time to sound the alarm.”

“You Thought You Knew” is available October 21.
