It’s a reunion for Lana Condor and Ross Butler as the duo made famous in the “To All the Boys” series are starring together again, but this time as a couple in the Tubi Original movie “Worth the Wait”.

“Worth the Wait” follows four couples, one of them being Leah and Kai (Lana and Ross) who navigate the trials and tribulations of love, grief and all the other curveballs life likes to throw in.

Lana and Ross began their friendship when they met filming “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You” and “To All the Boys: Always and Forever.”

Now, this new film has caused a super awkward and fictional online love triangle since their platonic characters are now romantically involved in “Worth the Wait.” Here’s the lore so it all makes sense.

In ‘To All the Boys” Peter (played by Noah Centineo) dates Lara (Lana) and is best friends with Trevor (Ross), so when Lana and Ross found out they had to kiss on the first day of filming, Ross admits he wondered “what’s Peter going to say?!” He continued that despite learning he had to kiss his fictional best friend’s girlfriend, “The first day we had to kiss, and we just committed to it” to which Lana exclaims, “It felt so wrong!” We’re guessing Peter would give them a pass, but just this once.

Lana and Ross also shared what they look for in relationships. Ross admits the way to his heart is “curiosity for life, like always willing to learn something new, to learn a new skill, to try new food.” He also shares his secret to finding out if a relationship will last, “you can tell a lot about someone by how they game. I love a healthy amount of competition [...] when you put something like a game where people can interact, you're focusing on the rules, and then your natural personality will come out”.

Lana chimes in with her relationship must-haves and how she knew her husband, Anthony De La Torre, was the one, “I would say a green flag for me is like being able to make me laugh, like I just like humor and laughing together with your friends, with your husband, with anyone, your partner. That’s number one for me.” But Anthony stole her heart in a whole new way she never thought was possible, all because of a sandwich at a diner on their first date, “I got, mac and cheese, and he got a very simple turkey sandwich, like just Turkey and lettuce on sourdough bread with some mayo.” And it was after his first bite, that Lana knew she was with someone special “he was like, ‘Oooo wow!,’ He was so grateful for the simple sandwich.” And I remember thinking to myself, “I really, really like you, and I need to get to know more about you” because if a simple turkey sandwich can bring this much joy out of you, like, this is a type of person that I want to be around.”
