Last call: Titles leaving Netflix in January 2022

With January upon us, here's a look at the list of films that will be leaving Netflix in January. If you're a fan of the Twilight franchise, you'll be disappointed to learn that the entire series will be sparkling away on January 15. Here are four other films you'll want to make time for before they apparate into the void.

Snowpiercer

Bong Joon Ho's adaption of the French graphic novel "Le Transperceneige" put Chris Evans on a train without a final destination. Humanity's efforts to thwart climate change has transformed the entire globe into a frozen wasteland that cannot support life. The last of humanity live in the Snowpiercer, a highspeed train that perpetually circles the globe. Within the train, a class system has been established with the lower class pushed to the rear of the train. An uprising is inevitable.(Leaving 1/1/22)

A Ghost Story

David Lowery ("The Green Knight," "Pete's Dragon") wrote and directed this experimental film about a woman (Rooney Mara) who mourns the loss of her husband (Casey Affleck) and sees him in every tiny detail of their home and feels his constant presence lingering around her. Step outside of your comfort zone, give this one a try. (Leaving 1/6/22)

Mystic River

Clint Eastwood directs this drama about a trio of childhood friends (Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, Kevin Bacon) who are brought back together when one of their daughters is murdered. Penn and Robbins won Academy Awards for their performances. (Leaving 1/31/22)

Shutter Island

Leonardo DiCaprio stars in this Martin Scorsese classic about a U.S. Marshal who is sent to investigate the disappearance of a patient from the psychiatric facility on Boston's Shutter Island. What he finds there is horrific, but is it real? (Leaving 1/31/22)
