Last call: Titles leaving Netflix in September 2020

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — With September nearly upon us, it's time to say goodbye to the old and welcome the new. However, before we move on, let's celebrate a few of the titles that will be departing sometime next month.

The Witch

"The Witch" is a slow-burning horror film set in New England during the 1630s. Having been banished from their community, a family of five lives unprotected on the edge of the wilds. When their newborn child disappears, they suspect that something evil is at their doorstep. This 2015 Sundance Film Festival favorite launched the careers of actress Anya Taylor-Joy and directorRobert Eggers ("The Lighthouse") (Leaving 9/16/20)

Train to Busan

The classic South Korean action/horror "Train to Busan" has a group of people taking a fast train from Seoul to Busan as a zombie apocalypse breaks out around them. A stand-alone sequel, "Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula," was just released in theaters. (Leaving 9/17/20)

20 Feet From Stardom

This fantastic documentary fromMorgan Neville ("Won't You Be My Neighbor") explores the lives of back-up singers. You know their voices, it's time to learn their names. (Leaving 9/22/20)

The Grandmaster

Wong Kar-Wai makes the most beautiful films. "The Grandmaster" is the director's ode to martial-arts master Ip Man (Tony Leung). I prefer the Chinese theatrical version that is 22 minutes longer, but those unfamiliar with Ip Man and his legacy will undoubtedly benefit from the more linear U.S. version. (Leaving 9/26/20)

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

"Ticker and Dale Vs. Evil" is without question one of the best horror comedies that the genre has ever produced. Starring Tyler Labine andAlan Tudyk as a pair of hillbillies mistaken for homicidal maniacs by a group of clueless college students. Should have been a massive hit. (Leaving 9/28/20)

Frances Ha

Written by Noah Baumbach(he also directs) and Greta Gerwig (who also stars), "Frances Ha" is the story of an eagerly optimistic New Yorker who is constantly pursuing dreams that she will never ever attain. (Leaving 9/30/20)

Inside Man

I love "Inside Man." It's an atypical Spike Lee film that sees Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, and Jodie Foster starring in a heist thriller that is incredibly smart and wildly entertaining. I can't speak for the sequel "Inside Man: Most Wanted," which looks less than appealing. (Leaving 9/30/20)
