'Love During Lockup' is back with new couples, fights, and the 'hot mess express'

Ever wonder how couples on “Love After Lockup” got together? Well “Love During Lockup” is back with some insight.

A new trailer for the latest season of “Love During Lockup” just dropped, and it’s packed with some wild moments.

From the very first moment where one woman says, “Hot mess express, here we go,” to another where a different woman declares it’s “Time to get pregnant!” to a self-described “sexaholic” couple, the new season promises to deliver on the drama.

As the official show description explains, "Love During Lockup" reveals the fascinating moments that occur when people in the free world look for love and begin relationships with inmates, capturing their journey as they count down the days, weeks, months, or even years until the anticipated release.”

It continues, “The captivating docuseries introduces viewers to six people outside of prison and follows them through the early stages of their romance with an inmate (or multiple inmates). Each person has a unique reason for seeking love behind bars. Some are sticking with their love interest throughout their sentence. Some have fallen for a prisoner who they believe was wrongly convicted, while some just chose to find love with an inmate.”

The show may answer the question posed by one mom in the trailer, “What idiot marries someone in jail?”

But there’s apparently hope, as a different woman explains, “If you can make it through an incarceration, you can make it through anything.”

“Love During Lockup” premieres in January on We TV and All Reality.
