Luke Bryan gave Willie Robertson a first listen to one of his most iconic country songs in his catalogue.

While promoting his sequel series, “Duck Dynasty: The Revival,” Willie told our Courtney Tezeno a priceless memory between him and the 49-year-old singer during a hunting trip years ago.

“We're out by the campfire, and Luke said, y'all got to hear this song. It's unbelievable,” Willie, 53, recalled. “So, he starts playing the song, but he can't remember the [words] because it's that new. Like, it ain't even come out.”

But he's like, so good. “He's like, [makes guitar sound] He's doing this. And he goes, Country Girl, shake it,” Willie laughed. “And he was like, I think it's gonna be huge!”

Yeah, Willie was there as the singer-songwriter completed 2011 hit “Country Girl (Shake It For Me),” a song that launched his country career into superstar levels. He often performs the fan favorite on live shows like the 2011 CMT Music Awards.

On a Robertson trip to Nashville, Luke made a special guest appearance on “Duck Dynasty” episode 6 to help Willie’s son, Will Robertson Jr, write a song. Luke and Willie go way back in their friendship and have been business partners in the hunting brand, Buck Commander, since 2007.

Willie and his wife Korie tease that more surprise cameos are on the way from Luke this season.

“I think he may show up on another episode,” Willie said. Luke told him he would want to be a “regular on this show.”

Willie reflected on his time filming with his longtime pal and said he appreciated the CMA winner lending his expertise to Will Jr.

“The moment with Luke was awesome," Willie said. "I called him up and just said, Luke, you know, Will's trying to write a song, and I’d love for him to just to pick your brain. And he's like, yeah, get on up here. I was glad that he did that and took the time to do that.”

Willie and Luke have shared the stage spotlight before, performing a duet of “Hairy Christmas” at the 2013 Country Music Association’s Country Christmas special. Even though Willie and Korie have been friends with Luke long before he rose to fame, they have their favorite songs from the CMA winner.

To no surprise, Willie's favorite songs, “Drink a Beer” and “Hunting and Fishing,” which are fitting for the CEO of Duck Commander. Korie’s pick is more sentimental. She chose Bryan’s 2009 hit “Do I.”

“I remember going into the same CMA Fest and him singing 'Do I,' and the whole crowd singing along,” Korie said. “It was kind of this special moment. I was proud [of] him and everyone singing along to these words to the song. And I remember our kids singing “Do I” when they were, like, eight years old. The worst is that song’s not really appropriate for eight-year-olds.”

“Duck Dynasty: The Revival” is streaming season one on A&E now.
