Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, and their producer are getting emotional on their show ‘Kelly and Mark.’

While talking about all the emotions that come from marathon races, Gelman revealed he became emotional while watching racers cross the finish line at a recent marathon.

Mark Consuelos was discussing the topic of why intense marathons make participants and spectators cry, “people tend to cry because there’s a huge release of serotonin, oxytocin and dopamine” that numb stress during the race, the co-host shared.

“I don’t know, I’d be crying after the beginning, the first quarter, the half,” Consuelos says before shifting the attention to producer Gelman who “often cries watching them,” he noted.

Gelman admitted on camera, “I get very emotional at the end,” after revealing he often sits at the finish line to watch the runners cross the line.

Gelman added, “It’s very moving, that these people have gone through that. Sometimes they’re disabled, sometimes they’re crawling, but even sometimes they just went through so much and they’re stumbling across the finish line, it’s such an achievement.”

To which Consuelos said, “And I’m saying you need to get your testosterone checked.”

Kelly Ripa added to the conversation saying she gets “very emotional when people achieve great things,” before the camera cut to Gelman who began to cry.

“He’s crying right now. You’re welling up right now, get a close-up of Gelman’s misty eyes. You could be an actor, maybe. A soap opera actor. Summon the tears,” Consuelos, a former soap star quipped.

Just moments later Consuelos started to cry after his wife brought up a news story involving a family that, after the death of their young dog, adopted another dog that unbeknownst to them ended up being their late pet’s father.

It’s always ok to let your emotions out!
