WASHINGTON (TND) — Actress Glynis Johns, most known for her role as Mrs. Winifred Banks in "Mary Poppins" has died. She was 100.
The news was confirmed to ABC7 by her publicist that she died on Thursday from natural causes.
Johns celebrated her 100th birthday in October.
Over eight decades, she appeared in numerous films including "Miranda," "Mad about Men" and "While You Were Sleeping."
She went on to earn an Oscar nomination for "The Sundowners" and won a Tony award for "A Little Night Music." On television, Johns played a villain on "Batman" and Shelley Long's mom on "Cheers."
Her most recent role was in the 1994 comedy "Superstar" and she was named a Disney Legend in 1998.
According to IMDb, the actress was married four times and had one son, Gareth Forwood, who passed away at 62.
