EXCLUSIVE: mgk credits fatherhood with being what he needed 'to stay alive to this point'

mgk had a daddy-daughter date at the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards.

The singer hit the orange carpet with his eldest daughter, Casie, and gushed about what fatherhood meant to him.

“It opened up the side of myself that I needed to stay alive to this point. Without her, it’s an easy decline, you know?” he told our Courtney Tezeno.

mgk recently added to the family in March with the birth of his daughter, Saga Blade Fox-Baker, with his ex-fiancé Megan Fox.

On Instagram, the proud dad announced the news, writing, “She’s finally here!! our little celestial seed.”

Big sister Casie, who mgk shares with his former partner Emma Cannon, is excited to have a new sibling in her life.

“I think she’s just a good addition to the family. Now we have two girls in the family, I have another sibling, it’s cute,” she said.

Mgk is performing tonight at the Kids’ Choice Awards, and Casie is already considering following in her dad’s footsteps.

“I’d want to do something in the industry, I just don’t know what,” she told us.

It’s clear mgk, born Colson Baker, is a proud and supportive papa.

In April, he shared a fun video on Instagram of he and Casie dancing behind some DJ equipment, writing in the caption, “my daughter is a vibe.”

And in post just a few days ago, he shared video of himself playing guitar for baby girl Saga.

“Saga Blade Fox-Baker, thank you for the ultimate gift,” he added in the caption, tagging Fox as well.
